The promotion offers consumers that buy a Power40 from an authorized retailer or e-tailer, from now through June 30, 2009, a free 3 month subscription to Netflix, courtesy of OmniMount. Consumers are instructed to visit omnimount.com or omnimountpro.com to fill out the online form and mail or e-mail it in with a copy of the purchase receipt in order to receive their gift subscription.
In order to spread the word about the promotion virally, the company released a video parody that highlights some of the benefits of the Power40, set to hip-hop music. The video was created with the product’s target market in mind – web-savvy, early adopters looking for the newest gadgets in home entertainment. Written and filmed by OmniMount, the short spoof is also cast with employees and features an amateur rap.
